A short while ago, in a city north of my own......

And so as I was poking around the ol' interwebs as I do, I stumbled across a headline.
Yeah, read it again...it is a classic. Bookmark it so you can show all of your friends, and illustrate why you are PROUD to bear the title Homo Sapiens.
So, over a local dispute a Socialist and self described "America's Nazi Party" (their words, not mine) decided they needed to march upon fair Toledo (I say fair, but i've never been there...it might suck ass). Also known as the National Socialist Movement, I would have thought our own Woodrow Wilson would have had the good sense to snuff them out while he was on an anti-communist rampage. So much for a police state Wilson, you suck. Guess they slipped through the cracks, or maybe they just hadn't made an appearance yet. To be honest I don't care about that right now, their origins are not the topic at hand.
A few weeks before they arrived to make their march, which they are constitutionally ensured the right to, the good gangs of Toledo made it known that they would be there also. Sounds like fun for the whole family, right?
The National Socialist Movement, or NSM as I will refer to them for brevity, had avoided the parade application process by planning to march on the sidewalks. This is legal, it's public property. After all, they are peaceful people and certainly wouldn't antagonize the locals. Right.
And so, they took to the streets. However, they did not choose neutral ground, and instead marched into a predominately black neighborhood. Silly supremacists. The gangs arrived in full regalia and the police did their best to intervene and keep the peace.
At this point I can almost sympathize with the evil gangs, because the NSM really has no business there anyway...but then they went and screwed everything up.
Now is where it gets funny. The gangs, angered by the presence of what is essentially a white supremacist group, decided that this would be a good time to go looting. Yes, looting. As you read, they looted and burned a local bar, damaged a gas station, and threw the standard issue bricks and bottles..................at police.
Er, what?
Why on earth would you attack the police? Did they invite the group? I really doubt it. Also, they sure did a good job fighting the stereotypes that the NSM would use as propaganda, didn't they? Congratulations on destroying your own neighborhood and most likely giving strength to an unworthy cause: hate.
SO, to fight a hate based group, they....attacked the police and drew attention to the NSM...which is exactly what they wanted. Now I can't speak for anyone else (although if anyone had any common sense they'd let me), but that just doesn't make a damned bit of sense. If you want to fight an organization that feeds of reaction...IGNORE THEM. Unlike the monsters underneath your bed, hate groups will fade and dissapear if there is no ignorant sensationalism to feed their ranks.
So let's sum it up...a foreign ignorant trash gang descends on Toledo over what is essentially a personal dispute. The local ignorant trash gangs respond by attacking...local...business....and...law enforcement.
Oh noes, we must put a stop to ignorant on ignorant crime...or they'll wipe each other out!
